Week of 09/11/2026
HIGHLIGHTED WORK THIS WEEK
- Despite a holiday-shortened week, the insulation crew advanced wall batt installation in the 800 Wing and is working toward the 700 Wing as inspections are cleared.
- MEP trades stayed active across the single-story building and cleared additional rough-in inspections, including the 200 Wing; drywall crews are pre-rocking common areas ahead of production drywall next week.
WORK ACTIVITIES BY SITE AREA
SITEWORK & PAVING
- Site utility and grading crew continuing courtyard storm sewer installation.
- Heavy rains late last week and into this week pushed curb work to next week; the paving crew is ready to mobilize once conditions allow.
MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL & PLUMBING
- HVAC crews active in the 100, 300, and Admin Wings; electrical continuing rough-ins in the Admin and 100 Wings. Both trades passed 200 Wing rough inspections.
- Plumbing crews wrapping up the 500 and 700 Wing commons with rough-ins underway in the 300 Wing; 200 Wing rough inspections passed.
CONCRETE, FRAMING & EXTERIOR
- Concrete crews installing integral curb and sidewalk; framing crew continuing on UDA punch items; siding crew installing production siding on the front of the building. Insulation crew advancing wall batt installation in the 800 Wing, and drywall crews pre-rocking common areas for down framing, with production drywall scheduled for next week. Masonry re-mobilizing next week for the single-story side and porch columns; roofing off-site this week.
DELAYS
- Weather: Heavy rains late last week and into this week delayed curb work; curbs are rescheduled for next week.
- Site Plumbing Permit: Washtenaw County required a plumbing permit for storm sewer around the building in addition to the site disturbance; atypical for this scope of work. The permit has been issued, and courtyard storm sewer installation has resumed. Delay days to date: 6
- OMTS Phone/Data: The Washtenaw County permit, previously overlooked, has been obtained. Work in the 700 & 800 Wings has progressed far enough for building inspections to be cleared, allowing wall insulation to advance in the 800 Wing and clearing the way for drywall. Claimable Delay days to date: 18
